Nicholas Russo is a psychology intern at Long Island Mental Health & Wellness. He is a doctoral student in psychology (PsyD) at Long Island University Post and is actively involved in both clinical and assessment-based work within the practice. Nick has co-led SDARI groups, where he supports clients in building social awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills, and he is also gaining advanced experience in psychological testing and assessment.
Nick earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology after graduating from Smithtown High School West and has demonstrated early leadership in the field as the founder and President of the Psychology Club at LIU Post, where he organized events and fundraisers to promote mental health awareness on campus. He is deeply passionate about understanding human behavior and helping individuals recognize their strengths, resilience, and inherent value. Nick is committed to becoming a compassionate, thoughtful psychologist and is excited to continue developing his clinical skills in service of children, adolescents, and families.
