MEGAN N. WOODWARD EARNS NATIONAL CERTIFIED COUNSELOR CREDENTIAL

                Megan N. Woodward of Westbury, New York has attained certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC).  Currently in private practice at Long Island Mental Health and Wellness Counseling, PLLC, Ms. Woodward joins more than 40,000 NCCs who are certified through NBCC.

Ms. Woodward has served in the public mental health sector for nearly 5 years delivering psychotherapy and mental health services to individuals with severe mental illness and their family members as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (License #005680).  Ms. Woodward has increased access to her extensive training and expertise in the private sector, founding Long Island Mental Health and Wellness Counseling, PLLC earlier this year.  Ms. Woodward reports that her approach to counseling and psychotherapy has been so successful because of the supportive, safe, and scientific foundation that allows her clients achieve the changes they have always hoped for.  Long Island Mental Health and Wellness Counseling, PLLC is located in Westbury and is currently accepting new clients.

NBCC, located in Greensboro, NC, is the largest national counselor credentialing organization in the United States.  National Certification promotes professional accountability and ensures that consumers’ rights are protected through the NBCC Code of Ethics.
